A Better Nigeria, 2013 and Beyond

Nation building and development takes a lot of laborious time and consistency of effort. Only the sincere and steadfast will patiently persevere against all odds to achieve selfless aims and collectively progressive objectives.
Only time will tell those who will toe the honourable Gani Fawehinmi path of genuine criticism fuelled by patriotism and those who will end up the attainted 'Abati' way.

Individuals from all social strata must unite to challenge the dissipation, sending a stern warning out to all that Nigeria is evolving rapidly and socially diverse youth have come of age. The Occupy Nigeria movement of 2012 is a testament to the possibilities of social unity.

If you are wealthy by sheer luck, genius, hard work or inheritance and you think the social decay doesn't concern you, you have a problem. Sooner or later the rot will affect or consume you, directly or indirectly.

If you are wealthy by means of looting public funds, you have a bigger problem; for the days of your likes are numbered.

Remember death is inevitable.

If you are managing or comfortable and your intention or aspiration is to join the league of looters, you have the biggest problem; for you are a major part of our problem of perpetuating corruption. Repent!

If you are struggling and all you hope and yearn for is good governance, probity and accountability; please don't lose hope, the conscious are alive.
As long as you have a conscience, you can play a significant part.

The societal problem cuts deep across all the classes and only the sincere and pragmatic will admit.

Either way we must not relent in our efforts of ridding our polity of plunderers. Let us continue to be a constant torn in the flesh of the corrupt throughout 2013.
Rome wasn't built in a day and a better Nigeria will follow the same principle.
“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
-Lao Tzu

May GOD make 2013 fruitful for us all Amen.
